Due to the varied speeds of contemporary communication processes and the recursivity of these systems, one of the qualities of the Information Age is its entanglement with overlapping time frames and its involvement with different scales.
The technology user, in their non-linear journey, may depart from the micro scale of bodily sensation, only to arrive at the scene of a global or cosmic event. Global events and processes, such as climate change, the rise of nationalism, the development of the communication grid and surveillance mesh – are the result of an infinite micro events, responsibilities and conditions. In this course, the media student will investigate how to poetically use time and scale travels.
